Peningkatan Angka Partisipasi Remaja di Kelurahan Renon Dalam Penyelenggaraan Pemilu Melalui Media Poster Edukasi.
Abstract
In 2024, Indonesia, including Kelurahan Renon, will hold simultaneous general elections to elect presidential and vice presidential candidates and other political ranks. An organizing committee is needed to succeed this democratic party, but in Renon Village, the majority of the committee members are from the old class. Of the total 231 committees, only 50 committees came from the youth group. This is due to the lack of information received by them. Lack of information and other factors make the participation rate of the younger generation (teenagers), especially in Renon Village, minimal. Therefore, it is necessary to increase motivation for teenagers so that the participation rate of teenagers in the next year's election can increase. Increased motivation needs to be done by utilizing mass communication media that is able to bridge information to young people thoroughly and easily understood. The purpose of this service activity is to raise awareness and motivation of adolescents to increase the participation rate of adolescents in Renon village in organizing elections. The method used is to use educational poster media containing information about the requirements and duties of voting organizers. The results of the program found that poster media can be used to increase motivation and youth participation rates as indicated by more than 80% of the entire sample or equivalent to 48 youth out of a total of 60 youth felt motivated by the educational posters distributed. This poster can increase youth awareness and motivation to participate as election organizers in the following years.
